All applicants accepted to the F-M Ambulance/NDSCS Paramedic Program must be able to meet the Program’s technical standards.  The purpose of the Program is to graduate students who will become entry-level competent paramedics.  As a limited enrollment program, applicants who, due to a disability, will not be able to complete the physical or written portions of the NREMT examination may not be admitted to the Program.

The F-M Ambulance Paramedic Program is prepared to provide reasonable accommodations to students who are accepted by the Program and who have physical and learning disabilities (e.g.: mobility impairments; chronic illnesses, dyslexia and other learning disabilities).  The Program will review the information in order to determine whether a reasonable accommodation can be made.  The Program reserves the right to reject any requests for accommodation that, in its judgment would involve the use of an intermediary that would in effect require a student to rely on someone else’s power of selection and observation, fundamentally alter the nature of the Program’s educational program, lower academic standards, cause an undue hardship on the Program or endanger the safety of patients or others.
